Opening Reception, Fri., Oct 17 from 5-8 pmJoin us to celebrate the next exhibition at SoNa Chicago featuring the artwork of Chicago (Oak Park) based artist, Michael J. Miller in "A Measure of Time" on Friday, October 17 from 5-8 pm. Refreshments will be served!
Many of you may know Michael as SoNa Chicago’s wonderful installer who is the talent behind the beautiful and professional appearance of our shows. But he is also an artist with a BFA and MA in painting and drawing from University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He has taught art and shown in galleries, art spaces, and universities. This show will feature in part his new landscapes - beautiful colorful pieces that are shown with handmade frames made by the artist himself. In the Gallery Annex, we have a new exhibition of selected large works by gallery artists.

Gallery Closed on Sat., Oct 18 for the No Kings DemonstrationAfter our opening event on Friday, Oct 17, we will be closed on Sat., Oct 18 so that everyone can go to the No Kings Rally in Chicago or wherever you are that is having a demonstration locally. The gallery is normally open on Saturday afternoons, but with Michael’s whole-hearted agreement, we will close and go to let our voices be heard. Sat., Oct 18 at 12 noon in Grant Park. Let’s all stand up for the Constitution and for Democracy, and to support the immigrant community in Chicago, and say to the Trump Administration, “Hands Off Chicago!” The gallery will open again for regular hours on Fri., Oct 24. Our regular hours are Fridays, 5-7 pm, Saturdays, 12-4 pm, and by appointment by calling Laura at 773.513.4436 or emailing sonachicagoart@gmail.com. |

We were so very saddened to hear of the passing of artist Tony Fitzpatrick, a legend, an incredible artist, writer, poet, actor, and supporter of the arts and artists in Chicago and beyond. What an incredible loss. RIP Tony Fitzpatrick. |
