Our next Exhibition is “Goldilocks Moment” Jan 9 - Feb 7, 2026

Dear Friends,

Join us for Goldilocks Moment, featuring eight artists who have shown together as a collective over the last decade or more. Most of them met when they were MFA students at the University of Chicago. The show will open on Friday, Jan 9, but to make sure everyone is back in town or ready to emerge from hibernation during the holidays, the Reception for the show is Fri, Jan 16. Goldilocks Moment

Goldilocks Moment is a playful yet contemplative exhibition that explores themes in the popular childhood fairy tale, such as those moments when things are "just right." How do we find that moment? How do we keep it? What do we do when we lose it? The story changes when the Bears come home and disruption occurs. But who is the intruder in this story?

Each of the artists brings these larger questions into a personal realm that they explore through a variety of media. The artists use photos, film, sculptures, painting and performance to consider ideas such as cultural change, how images can illuminate qualities of common experiences, and one’s comfort and identity in society.
