Opening Reception & Main Event, Sat., Sept 6 from 5-8 p.m.
Dear Friends,
Industry of the Ordinary’s 2025 Summer Residency Program concludes with a three week exhibition, Map Without Territory, at SoNa Chicago. Fifteen emerging artists each have a unique multidisciplinary art piece in the show. Many of the works involve the artists performing elements of their pieces. The work is being located throughout the gallery complex, including the main gallery, an expanded section of the Annex in the rear building, the courtyard, and the basement of the gallery.
Opening Sat, Sept 6, 5–8 pm
As noted above, there will be many one-night only performances on Sept 6. The non-performative elements of the pieces will be on view through Sept 27.
Sat, Sept 13, 5–7 pm
Artist Walkthrough - a subset of the artists will discuss their work and what it means to them; most of the artists will be present for this event.
Fri, Sept 19, 6 – 7:30 pm
Discussion of the Residency in the larger context of Industry of the Ordinary’s work,
with Adam Brooks and Mathew Wilson, moderated by Molly O’Donnell,
in conjunction with CXW25
