Glen Gauthier creates mixed-media collage using fragments of magazines, books, manuals, photos, and documents. Through the act of cutting and reassembling, he brings disparate elements into unexpected juxtapositions, creating compositions where time is non-linear; and where past and present overlap and collide. The physical nature of paper and printed matter — the edges, typography, worn surfaces — becomes part of the visual language.

​Glen hails from Louisiana and worked for many years as Creative Director at a firm in Texas. He recently moved to Chicago with his wife where he works out of his home studio and is devoting himself full time to his artwork.
